Umweltblick is a project of BACHERDESIGN. In addition to extensive information on energy and nutrition topics, the reader can find the latest news in a news blog, a shopping guide for palm oil-free products and companies in the business directory for vegan lifestyle.
Since Joomla has undergone significant development in recent years and new page builders have made the work of us web designers easier, we were once again faced with a relaunch. At Umweltblick, this always means a large effort of over 100 working hours. As a result, this time the relaunch took several months. But the result is impressive.
Usability
In order to keep the amount of information clearly arranged, there is a separate start page for each department on which the sub-topics have been teased out. This gives the reader an overview of the contents of the respective topic area.
As about 40% of Umweltblick readers are online with mobile devices, the focus was on user-friendliness and quick navigation without having to click too much.
More creative freedom
The new framework and the page builder of YOOTheme Pro made the work much easier because each section can be designed individually. In addition, it gives us designers a very large design space in which we can let off steam creatively.
